Joanita Nakityo

About Me

I am a software engineer with graduate research experience in systems security, secure systems programming, and Rust. During my M.S. studies at UNIST, I worked on memory safety and compiler- and runtime-assisted software protection, designing and evaluating a systems-security research prototype.

Before graduate school, I gained experience in software engineering, project management, robotic process automation, and developer education. I enjoy turning complex ideas into practical solutions and collaborating on secure, reliable, and useful technologies.

I am currently seeking opportunities in software engineering, systems software, cybersecurity, and secure infrastructure, and I am open to relocation.

Completed graduate research investigating security at the boundary between safe Rust applications and external native-code components. Designed and evaluated a research prototype involving compiler and runtime techniques.
